Again Huawei surprised their fans with the new minimalist designed Huawei Watch GT which is actually a fitness tracker but feigned as a smartwatch. 

They have made this masterpiece exclusively for those health concerned people who want their health to be on track. Huawei’s first two smartwatches operating system was Android but after getting away from Google’s Android, this time they have installed Huawei’s own LiteOS on it.

Design, Display and Build Quality:

Huawei Watch GT comes with slim, strong, and beautiful built quality. The use of stainless steel casing and ceramic bezel strained of carbon coating makes this scratch-proof and sustainable device for any type of hard situation.

The silicone straps feel so much comfortable and the upper part of the straps made of leather which looks much more premium than plastic straps.

The dimensions of the display are length 46.5mm x width 46.5 mm x height 10.6mm with the wrist coverage of 14 ~ 21 cm. As the watch weighs approximately 46 grams, your wrist will not feel heavy if you wear it for a long time.

It’s a 1.39″ inch AMOLED color display with a resolution of 454 x 454, PPI 326, and with the perfect brightness will give you the experience of HD quality visual.  

The thickness of 10.5mm will make you feel more comfortable wearing this when you are doing the workout.

Functions:

Though you cannot download third-party apps, this device has lots of pre-built functions like heart rate monitoring, viewing messages, call rejects, app alerts, compass, weather forecasts, stopwatch, and a lot more.

By swiping the display down, you will find functions like do not disturb mode, find my phone, lock, settings, show time, etc, and swiping up you will find all the notifications.

The GPS helps the users to measure the speed and distance of walking or running.

Sensors:

There are several sensors activated in the device such as Accelerometer sensor, magnetometer sensor, optical heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor barometer sensor, etc. The gyroscope support has added an extra interaction with the device.

Buttons:

There are two buttons on the right side of the watch. the top button will bring you to the home screen, by pressing the bottom button will show you the app functionality.

Water Proof:

Huawei Watch GT will give you 5ATM water resistance that will protect your device from the water . You can even do activities like swimming, surfing, diving till 50 meters under the water.

Charging and Battery life:

Huawei Watch GT comes with a magnetic charging facility which gives a heatless charging experience. The best part is the 14 days of battery backup power will exceed your expectations.

Huawei says, after charging 2 hours you will be able to get 24/7 heart rate monitoring and 90 minutes of exercise tracking per week. The reason behind this much battery life is Huawei’s LiteOS. The OS is very much optimized to save powers.

Pros and Cons:

No company will give you all the features in one device. This device isn’t perfect either. Let me tell you the pros and cons of it.

Comparing the price of £79.99, you will get much more than other smartwatches available in the market. Despite a little bit of disappointment of not having a chance to install third-party apps but I am still happy with what I got with this affordable price.
